How the first free platform for urban gardens was born: Huerto360

Image Description

The day comes when you go to eat a tomato, from the same trusted place, and you dress it as usual: a little olive oil and salt. But, you realise that the taste is no longer the same. Something has changed.

This could be the story of many people, of many topics of after-dinner chats. What is happening to the vegetables? Why are they changing the taste from one day to the next? To answer these questions, Gardenphy was born. And this is our story.

We long for the taste of yesteryear

Another day you arrive at a department store and find that the fruit and vegetables are "sad". They are brighter and their shapes are almost perfect, but they are not what they used to be. They have lost that sense of freshness of yesteryear.

For this reason, and because of the need to have fresh fruit and vegetables on our plates again, this initiative was born.

And we are going to go further, in Huerto360 we want to give value back to the world of country products, products made with natural and traditional techniques, which, although it seems that they are being lost, are opening up as an echo of returning to the land, to nature or to our origins.

Recent policies have been eroding the small farmer's ability to survive. But this, as well as affecting their way of life and livelihood, also affects us and our immediate environment.

Where do we buy our food?

At this point, the question is: where can we buy fresh, quality produce?

Many will say "where they can", in large supermarkets, on their way home or to work. But, as mentioned above, we find "sad" fruits and vegetables.

These are the reasons for the birth of Huerto360, a meeting point where you can promote self-consumption, consume local natural products and help agricultural work.

A natural wheel that you can help to move if you join us whether you are an urban gardening company, want to sell a plot of land or want to sell your own land, rent for community gardens, you have a small produce shop, a cooperative or would like to be contacted to work in the field in a way that is more convenient for you.

Do you help us to give life to our countryside and as a consequence to ourselves?

You are welcome at Huerto360.
